The Program.
Alenta is not based on any prior story, myth, book or movie (although you can see that it evokes a little of each). That is why -as those who have read the first part of the manual will have noticed- its setting requires a meticulous description.
The outline and contents of the game are expressed, but there is still much work to be developed. This page will announce the status of each one of the manual's parts and the dates for their completion:
Completed. You can download a version without layout in the Downloads section. It includes the Introduction, the description of the Cosmos, an example of one culture (Tratoria), the Basic Rules, nine character sheets and one test adventure.
In development. The second part includes descriptions and characteristics of races (more than 20 playable), sub-races and hybrids; five cultures developed in detail, the rules for character sheet creation, fifteen culture profiles (all playable) and one description of common aspects between the cultures (religion, guilds, treaties, jurisdiction.)
Game System. In development. Includes the complete rules of the game, the use of skills, special characteristics, techniques, magic, advanced combat, air and sea combat, how to promote a character sheet, etc.
This part is in rough draft form awaiting layout. Various aspects of Alenta's universe are explained for the Game Director: calendar, phenomena, navigation, ecology, bestiary, gods and myths supernatural beings, technology, history, etc.
In development. Mainly for the Game Director, it includes advice on how to set up games in Alenta, maps, important places, rules on expanding the universe, three adventures and the appendix (glossary, alternative rules, tables, character cut-outs, etc.)
